Reporting directly to the Electrical Director, your role will be to carry out electrical design, including lighting, LV supply, small power distribution, earthing, fire and voice alarm systems, telecommunication services, low current and extra low voltage services, automatic controls, BMS as well as other related electrical utility systems and to:
HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering as an absolute minimum. 5+ years’ experience in the design of electrical building services. Competent use of Amtech, Dialux, Autocad and Revit. Highly organised with a logical and disciplined approach to deadlines. Excellent written skills for specification/ report writing.

Duncan House in London is completed and students have moved in. AMA designed the mechanical services, including heating and domestic hot and cold water services for this new 33 floor student accommodation block. The heating plant design, include central gas fired CHP and boilers.

AMA have completed a feasibility study on the replacement of the existing heating system at the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. We were employed by BAQUS Construction & Property Consultancy, who carried out a wider feasibility study on the building.

AMA enjoy a day at Goodwood for horse racing. We were treated to a behind the scenes tour by jockey David Crosse, including a trip down to the start line and some top tips on the running horses.

AMA welcome Sonny Daluz. Sonny did a work experience week at AMA last summer and we are now happy to welcome him back as a Building Services Engineering Apprentice. Sonny will be studying at East Surrey College for his four year National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) work based way of learning.
Josh Couchman, a third year Mechanical Engineering student at University of Bristol has been at AMA for a work experince week. Josh has assited with mechanical design calculations, schemcatics and learnt the basics of software packages Revit and IES. We wish Josh all the best with his future studies.

AMA welcome Jenny McGuill, who fills the role of a Chartered Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who also has knowledge of Electrical Engineering. Jenny has come to us from another multi disciplinary practice where she gained several years of experience. Prior to coming to Brighton, Jenny lived in Ireland where she obtained her Engineering Degree.

Phase 3 of £6.9million refurbishment of Guildford Hospital’s Accident and Emergency department complete. AMA are employed by Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to provide full mechanical and electrical consulting engineering duties.
