AMA appointed for full MEP services design to provide two new Laminar Flow Theatres at Worthing Hospital. The new theatres were built in the place of an existing ward, adjacent to a theatre suite on the 2nd floor of an operational hospital. The project was particularly challenging in terms of designing the engineering services and plant that would fit into the existing limited roof space without structural alterations; AMA used SketchUp for 3D visualisations and installation options. Our duties also included the design of new isolated power systems (IPS) and uninterruptible power systems (UPS) to serve the clinical risk category 5 areas.
