Performing Arts Centre

AMA carried out full mechanical and electrical building services engineering for the new Performing Arts Centre at University College Chichester. The new building is an extension to the existing performing arts centre to provide additional dance and drama studios, with associated DDA compliant access core.

East Beach Cafe

AMA provided mechanical engineering services for the new East Beach Café, a landmark building on the Littlehampton seafront, designed by the Heatherwick Studios. AMA carried out mechanical services design including the calculation of annual CO2 emissions. Energy efficiency measures in the building include a highly insulated external shell of a metal structure with sprayed internal rigid insulation; gas fired condensing boiler serving underfloor heating with heat input to occupied zones only; naturally ventilated main café area.

Tripoli Heritage Museum

AMA provided MEP services design to RIBA Stage D for the Tripoli Heritage Museum. The museum design includes temperature controlled galleries, conference facilities, rooftop restaurant, library and administrative block. AMA worked with the architect on the passive design elements of the building; the Bedouin tent inspired canopy structure stretching over the building to provide shade and temperature regulation; and the earth duct that is used to temper the ventilation air.
