Accra HQ Energy Options

AMA worked with Global Documentation on an energy options feasibility study for Standard Chartered Bank’s new regional HQ in Accra, Ghana. The challenge in Ghana is an unsettled energy market with frequent power outages, therefore a resilient energy strategy is a must. We used IES thermal dynamic modelling to predict the energy impact of building fabric efficiency measures, building systems and renewable technologies options.

Standard Chartered Bank HQ

AMA have carried out various energy efficiency works at the Standard Chartered Bank global head quarters building in London. The main challenge was to ensure minimal interruption to the daily running of the banking business, whilst reducing the operational carbon footprint of the building.

Key projects included ESOS assessment, chilled water system optimisation, new HV supply, M&E services commissioning review and the first combined ‘PV green roof’ in the City of London.

Wadi El Rabia Eco Industrial Park

AMA appointed to carry out RIBA Stage D design of MEP services for a new Eco Industrial Park on a 256 hectare greenfield site. The industrial park is designed for a 256 hectare greenfield site and includes ecologically sustainable production facilities for a wide cross section of industries. AMA duties included the analysis of existing infrastructure networks, services loading and strategy of phasing; new MEP services network with location and sized central plant for power, water, gas, telecoms and sewage; street lighting design, fire hydrant strategy and network; MEP design for typical industrial units and key support facilities.
